Leaves come down, land in the gutter and sit on top of the moss and grit that's already there. A few weeks of rain turns it into sludge that blocks the outlet. Then the first proper winter downpour has nowhere to go but over the edge and down your wall.
Signs your gutters need clearing
A gutter can look fine from the ground and still be packed solid. Look for:
- Water spilling over the front edge when it rains
- Damp patches or green marks on the wall under the gutter
- Staining on the fascia board
- Plants or moss poking up over the gutter line
- A downpipe that stays quiet in heavy rain, or a puddle at the bottom of it
Left alone, overflow runs down the brickwork and collects at the base of the house. That's when it starts costing more than a gutter clean.

Included in the price: 2 on Small and Medium homes, 4 on Large, 6 on XL. Extra downpipes are £10 each. If one's properly blocked, I'll show you before doing anything extra.

Do I need to be in?
Ideally, yes. The vacuum needs a plug socket, so it's easiest if someone's home to let me plug in. I'll message you a couple of days before to confirm.

Yes. The vacuum runs off mains, so I need an outside socket or a lead through a door or window.
How do I pay?
Cash, card or bank transfer, on the day.
What if a downpipe is blocked?
I check the downpipes included for your house size as part of the clean. If one's packed solid, I'll show you a photo and tell you what it needs before I do any extra work. Nothing extra without your OK.
Will it make a mess?
Very little. The vacuum pulls the muck into a container instead of dropping it on the ground. Anything that does fall, I clear up before I leave.
